An interesting clip. Many of the friends my cousin in Sarcelles had were from Algeria. There, Tunisia or Maroc. I guess many of these youngsters were descendants of the families that left during and after the Algerian War and were housed in the Banlieue and HLMs. They were real dives with cockroaches in the sinks when you went to wash your hands or do your teeth. It didn't bother me really as I thought it was just a normal occurrence in France.
On another note I remember how much I loved the merguez sausages my cousins dad would make us..so tasty!
