Told all the Brits at the Xmas do from the 2nd CIE that we were too early to do our thing on stage in front of the brass, so "Why don't you gentlemen go off and have a few drinks and come back later!" i remember the REP had a chaplain with them in 1993. in his sixties and lover of wine and whiskey who was just before retirement.
