Browsing through the dusty archives on my confuser, I found links to some old (as in vintage 1928) Cajun music, and that is music that I dearly love. I'm going to drop a few URLs here, I'd be glad to hear what you francophones think about them.

Cleoma Falcon, J'ai passé devant ta porte.

Cleoma ( Breaux ) Falcon et Joe Falcon, Prend Donc Courage

Harry Choates, Jolie Blon (the Cajun 'National Anthem')

Joe Falcon, Allons á Lafayette
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=si7geWoPNhY&feature=related

The last one is another classic Cajun song, Lafayette is a hub of the Cajun world.

I think my favourite Legion chat is Dans la Brume la Rocaille, I haven't heard all of them... But that song makes me want to grab my passport right now and take a flight right now to Aubagne.
Ex-Pongo, nice bloody avatar! Mr. Hugo Stiglitz.

Gents, i was listening to this performence with pleasure when all of a sudden i heard the tune at 4.11 - 5.10 and was quite shocked, because it was played in my national army on celebrations and I know it to be a Soviet march about defeating the nazis.

Can anyone tell me the French name of the chant, if there is one. I know that the Legion is liberal at using the military heritage of other armies and even heard a detachment singing Katyusha, but still it is a bit too much for me...

And a song by Sabaton, dedicated to the Legion http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=botjaqtKko0

That song is called Anne Marie. It was sung in German if I remember correctly.

Additional info: It is the Anne Marie song of the 3em REI and not of the 2em REI. I have the lyrics and mp3 if anyone want it.

Sorry to contradict my friend Joe, but the music heard from 4:11 in this video is definitely not Anne-Marie. As you say Storm, it actually sounds like a Russian/Soviet march, but as far as I know, it hasn't be ‘adopted’ by the Legion as a song (adding French lyrics, like it was done with some German tunes) and if it was, I don't know the title in French.
Actually, when they perform in public the Legion band plays all sort of musics. In the same video, from 5:55 to 7:15 they even play a song by Nino Ferrer, famous singer in France in the 60s and 70s, called ‘Gaston’ (y'a le téléfon qui son). Even funnier, Nino Ferrer was well known for his left-wing and antimilitarist opinions.
Here --> the link to the original song (‘vintage’ video clip of the 60s :D)

I think what voltigeur posted was the first melody in the performance and it is definitely Anne-Marie, but I`m really confused that I can`t remembber the name of the song in 4.10-5.10. After all I was marching for 2 years with this music! It is not the famous Soviet march "Invincible and legendary", which was my first guess...Drives me crazy! Arrrgh!

Ooops! I found it, although I never knew the exact name up to now. It is called The Farewell of the Slav Lady/ Прощание Ñ￾лавÑ￾нки. Judge for yourself. :)

Are there any other foreign military marches like katiusha or erika that are sung in the FFL?
