Bet you had some patter in that sardine can was their a shortage on ear defenders in your regiment ? You can be quite witty at times .

Never knew the death penalty in France was still in place in 1981. Just little things like this that justifies staying around! Thanks
Yes, the death penalty was officially abolished by Mitterrand, a few months after he was elected as President, in May 1981. However, even before the official abolition, the death penalty wasn’t really any more applied. The last time was in September 1977.
