The above was the 'political brains' behind the OAS French -Algerian terror group who tried to assassinate de Gaulle.
This inspired the film ; The day of the Jackal.

Thanks Chas, I had missed this information. Susini was a brilliant man, but to put it bluntly, he was a right wing extremist... As you say he was the political brain behind the 4 generals who decided to have a putsch (in particular he was a close friend to Gen Salan, as they both lived for some time in a sort of exile in Franquist Spain, before the April 61 coup attempt).
