Great unit, only second to 2REP in efficiency.

For info : the 6e RPIMa has been recreated recently and are based at Caylus along side the 11 DP HQ. There was a very good reason for this and i did slightly mention it in a previous post. .some where
Hope Rapace reads this
Talking of which there is the 1er RCP and the 9e.
They have a bigger self inflated ego that matches no one's else (except the REP)

The 1 RCP are nearly as good as the REP. We were based together at Camp Pehaut in Phillippeville.

So what is the difference? I mean if they are airborne & such what is the dividing factor?

No brainer: one is Legion, the other is not. I may be biased.
Just a bit Ginge :D . I know it´s the mindset ... do more than the other. However given that the language spoken is French, how do the Comms compare. signals ..etc.?
I remember being on a Radio net & a Gurkha signals operator lost it & started speaking Nepalese. :D

During my time the Brits were very into Comms. The course used to be done by 2e REI (my regiment) until the new Castel got built. Nowadays, most operators will be Ruskie I presume.

I can understand that. The Channel is not wide.

Back in '03, we (3rd ACR) had a Puerto Rican National Guard unit attached to us--1st of the 296th, I think -- in Ramadi. They were okay to work with until they took contact; at which point they'd usually start speaking rapid, loud Spanish on company push (freq).

I'll play Robin (no-one- and I mean NO ONE plays Batman). Has just taken Dot as in end of the sentence, Over as in it is your turn to speak.
This is usually followed by the authority sending the message by over and out. End of today's Trans lesson.

Thank you Joseph :). Apart from speaking French, what is the criterium for selection in the signals platoon? Is there inter company/Regiment training or when you learn an advanced course do you go to a central camp?
