We had two days off in our four months there, the first was to a brothel and I declined the offer, they put me in charge of the guard for 'mauvaise volonté' :D
....That was my first experience of a brothel...them small cubicles with a drawn curtian for privacy...just like cattle...thereafter picked the taste for more refined specimen: il existe une fine ligne entre 'une poule de luxe' et 'une pute de luxe'.....

We sat there watching the shells falling on Jounieh.
...One night in Sabra-Chatilla, the group went up a high rise building nearby and watched shells falling on the Lebanese airport....at the French embassy, there were 155mm shells whirling above us at speed and crashing like a huge wave not so far away...on another occasion, the New Jersey started to pound from far away but the ground shook as if it was close by....then there were shots and puffs of plaster not so far away....

They all had a good time of it, crabs were de rigeur afterwards and the medic who took my place, had to have special instructions passed to his date before owt happened.

I was at the post between El Hamra Street and the American uni. as I was the only one stupid enough to go on the roof during the shelling (I did not want to die in the basement), I did the target announcment for the shells. Artillerie qui s'approche 400 metres, Artillerie qui s'approche 200 metres, [baise la tete]!!! Artillerie qui s'eloigne 100 metres.

A few stories below me were some Yanks, I indicated who I was and that I would give them covering fire, the next thing I knew a helicopter gunship came up guns on, I waved and they recognised who I was and rolled away. It took a while to sink in that the marines had called a fire mission on me.

All of this was because they were shelling the American Embassy from the Shouf, direct line of fire over us, to the left of the U.S. University and on the Corniche.

I remember the Jersey firing when we were at the Bain Militaire,it was impressive, the the Super Etendards started hitting the Shouf and we were no longer impartial :(

May God Guard you in the palm of his hand, all the boys that died when the politicians jumped into bed with the Ricaine.

Sticks and stones will break my bones, but whips and chains excite me...

Who the feck cares what others think, we all have our reasons in life for doing what we do.

I don't think this is a good idea... And that's an understatement.

Tragedy: When you lose control and you got no soul, it's tragedy. When the morning cries and you don't know why, It's hard to bear [...] (The Bee Gees of course !)

OH DEAR...I was keeping my exhuberence quiet!
How the hell was this found out?.
Did i mention it when drunk, or does someone have a direct line to the C.A.P.L.E.?

If I hadn't exhuberated, I'd have made the legion my career...everything after is just a non-event!

Erm....has my exhuberance been identified?...If so, it is all malicious lies, made up by jealous Caporal-chefs!. (C-C Hamami had a particular dislike to me as I would wail "Wahoooo Mohammed" whenever he entered the room...I was just trying to make him feel at home).

I would try to go back now, at the age of 41...but I'm just a sack of diabetic shit with a blood disorder.
15 years on, my heart is with the legion. I miss it, always.

I'm off to bed so you can say what you want now and get your jollies off because I didn't reply.
good on ya, retard. I bet that will feel like a great victory for you.

You should not be on here, you are just a sack of whiney shit.

PS...It's been good arguing with you. Thanks for brightening up the last hour or so. I wish you well. Take care, dude.
