I can remember getting issued a similar kind of underwear back in the first gulf war, only they were white and supposed to help against NBC attack. They didn't stay white for long, so i guess thats why they have gone for black this time round. At least when they were white we knew when they needed burning. These will only lower hygiene standards in my oppinion.

I agree with you.
I hope it should be possible to have the same thing in white.

When I was US Army we just were issued brown underwear to be "uniform" (to cover skidmarks basicly)
