Legionnaire

If you say so, I'll take your word on it. I can tell you that it was easy and cheap because tourists tend to avoid war inflicted areas.Don Pedro was 2REI, but the REP went to Split on R&R since a legionnaire had family living there so finding lodging was easy and cheap
myself went to Rijeka in may 93. 5 star hotel with inside casino and prostitutes, not cheap at all , lost 2000 dollar the first hour after check innIf you say so, I'll take your word on it. I can tell you that it was easy and cheap because tourists tend to avoid war inflicted areas.
And the entire southern par of RH is tourist area. In fact almost entire country is.
Call it a contribution to the local economy.myself went to Rijeka in may 93. 5 star hotel with inside casino and prostitutes, not cheap at all , lost 2000 dollar the first hour after check inn
correct about Arkanin Erdut/Dalj but that was my first tour (aug 92 / nov92) that time i went on R and R to Novi Sad (also a hotel with casino and prostitutes inside, maybe that was the criteria in those days for me, cant rememberThose days guests were very scarce, soldiers were not. Prostitutes and gamble were available? In a war zone ? Next thing you will tell me that the black market flourished..
To be honest both Split and Rijeka were speared of significant damage, but saying that war didn't influence prices of accommodation in tourist areas...
So, if I remember correctly; you socialized with Arkan's crew in Slavonija while on front and then went to the coast for r&r; gambling and fornicating.
Like the song from a certain Bosnian says: "Eversince I can't stand tulips, Ajax and the Dutch...." You lot build yourself a quite a rep in the Balkans.
So it was correct? Good - I was really wondering.correct about Arkanin Erdut/Dalj but that was my first tour (aug 92 / nov92) that time i went on R and R to Novi Sad (also a hotel with casino and prostitutes inside, maybe that was the criteria in those days for me, cant remember
second tour 93 in Sarajevo went to Reijka but the war did not touched Istria, infact it was full of german tourists and in teh hotel, casino etc you could not pay wiith Dinars, only italian Lires, Deutsch Mark or dollars
Do you remember name of hotel? There was not many of them especially with casinos at the time in Novi Sad.correct about Arkanin Erdut/Dalj but that was my first tour (aug 92 / nov92) that time i went on R and R to Novi Sad (also a hotel with casino and prostitutes inside, maybe that was the criteria in those days for me, cant remember

I guess that's their way to say thank you. You let them in your house and when you say that they have to temporarily go somewhere else so you can adapt their room for winter condition ... they decide to burn your house. I guess that's their way of saying thank you I don't understand this, but that is problem in me so I would need to take some political correctness classes to get better undressing of foreign culture.Anyone even been in Yugoslavia?
1 400
Bosnia migrant camp closure leaves 1,400 in cold
Residents of the camp close to the border with Croatia set fire to tents as they are forced to leave.www.bbc.com
It's a good job that most of them are Muslim, otherwise what kind of Christmas would that be?
Only now nothing that isn't called like that.I'm just wondering if the title would not be better as "anyone EVER been to Yugoslavia?
I have been to one, cant remember where thoughTook a taxi last might before end of tour from the discotheque in Zagreb fully pissed. Mostly UNMO' s there cause half an hour was 250 Deutsch Mark but we dutch were paid well (myself 23 year caporal got 5000 US dollars a month since the dutch government gave us the totall UN allowance plus dangerpay, in Holland i got only 1000 a month so we made big bucks)There was a night club in Zagreb not far from where the UNPROFOR base would transit that had prozzies
(Dec 93) Our R. and R was one week in Metropole France
On my return....I was the only one to be selected by the Croate customs for further control... that's a another story
