Done. Didn't notice we had them. I introduced myself when I first started posting, thought that was enough.
Californiajai is stationed just a stones throw away from me. I think he is still in Alaska though. We also grew up a few blocks away from each other in a city in California which is a little strange to say the least. A few of West Coasters here.
Maybe some of us don't want to fill out the profiles because we suspect the Gestapo to be watching....

A few weeks ago, BOSS brought this up (Why am I thinking about Pretoria's old Bureau of State Security?) in a post titled suggestions.
He asked for feedback regarding creating a new forum section for participants' backgrounds.
The current profile section is way too narrow. I wrote that the suggestion is a good idea. It allows for a narrative whereas the current profile section is too restrictive. Eg interests; the readership is more focused to military interests, even if secondary, rather than someone's award winning vegetable garden.
I am a social reformer but without a narrative section there would be no room for "office hours by appointment only".
Beau Sheep's entry above, when placed in a dedicated forum section meets the requirements.
Plus, for full disclosure, I am the least knowledgable re computers here. Would love to add a picture but besides no computer knowledge, one more wire in this place and I get another Boy Scout merit badge for basket weaving with oak leaf cluster.
Boss's post was the first day or so of March.
