Return Ticket

How do you get a ticket home if rejected? Seeing as you dont know when they send you packing you cant buy a two way ticket immediately. And since you cant bring more than 60 euro with you to the Legion (right?), you can't buy a ticket home if you get rejected. How would you guys do?

I bought a return ticket and dated the return date 3 weeks after, if by chance you leave sooner than 3 weeks you go to the ticket office and pay a penalty, it really depends which airline you flying. You cannot have a lot of cash on you yes, but nothing is stopping you from taking your bank card or credit card with. If you get rejected they return everything to you.

Find out from your travel agent which is the best options

buy open ticket. with open ticket the date of departure from France is free/ whenever you decide.

no, the legion will not confiscate your ticket.

Yeah I suppose an open ticket is a better option, I do not think you need a visa? I unfortunately do not have that privledge of an open ticket or my visa will be denied. As Gregor says, open ticket for you will be the best option

So I can bring my bank card with me? From what ive read on this forum i got the idea that they wouldnt allow it

If i can bring a card there is no problem hehe.

Well if you get accepted you will never see it again, but if you get rejected why would they care if you have it? I had mine in my wallet, I handed it over to them and I saw it again when I collected my belongings along with my ticket, passport etc..

Some airlines offer a dated ticket which can be reschedule without penalty, so you can still apply for your visa and change it later after approval, for instance my Qatar Airline ticket.

Never worried about the refund if I got in though, getting in itself is all I care.
