Re: A French Soldier's view of American Troops in Afghanistan

Mnay thanks for this posting. I see so much American bashing on the site-- as a U.S. Army vet, and an Ancien Legionnaire, it is nice to see someone with something good to say about us. During my time in La Legion, I was always treated with great respect. And I returned that respect in kind. I avoid pissing matches with the posters who have nothing but negative things to say about us. This article says it all. Good on ya, Gatorojo. Tex

Re: A French Soldier's view of American Troops in Afghanistan

It is good to see a balanced article as I was thinking American forces are buffoons from everything I have read. This has taught me anew to take everything with a pinch of salt and that most people have their own angle when being negative.

I suppose on anybody else Armed Forces every one has a option, especially thoses who have never served.
The argument for me is this the article was well balanced and I for one have never had anything but professional respect for the American Forces.
If it wasnt for them England would have lost the war.
