    Joining in 4 weeks

    Hi all,
    I'm travelling to France on the 18th July to enlist. I have no criminal record and i have pretty good basic fitness, my only worry is that i turn 36 in august.

    I've been through all the threads on here and i'm confused about whether i should bring anything with me(or just my sorry ass).
    I heard they take all your belongings, but still...

    Hi mate im 36 too so your not alone, though im not going till later in the year
    From what i understand you have to have a bag with washing /cleaning things towl/razor's/shower gel /toothbrush etc .. you can also take a small amout of cash 30-60 euro's i think ,everything else they take....but then if ya get in ya wont need anything else good luck mate

    If you are not almost 40 (i mean if you are 39years and 7 month) you have not why to be worried. Just go and give your best. No one can stop you at 36years old. Go and show them your best, keep reading some old posts(use search) and you will know you need to keep you head down and your mouth closed. Good luck!
