    Croatian Army

I have not been able to come across any information (in English) pertaining to the Croatian military. I am curious: how professional do you guys regard it as? Do any Croatian soldiers frequent this board? I am interested in any and all information you mates can give me on it.
Why do I ask? For those who are curious: my old man runs a small chance of getting Croatian citizenship within the next year. If he does, then he's my foot in the door. The FFL is my first choice, but I would be foolish not to have a backup plan. I have a great deal of pride for my ancestry, and would be proud to serve in the Croatian military.
    Cheers,
    William

Just to avoid some confusion. This site is a tribute to volunteers who fought on the Croatian side during the 'Balkans war' in the early '90s. It's no longer an active unit. I knew very well one of the French guys mentioned, who got KIA in 1992.

The Croats are some of the best. As BobW might be able to tell us more about, they were "advised" by the US during the war, which means they were being led well. Also, if you compare the stats, it is very impressive that Croatia was able to fend of Serbia. I spent a summer in Croatia, and there are some hard bastards there.P.S.
For what it's worth, look up "CroCop" on the ultimate Fighting Championship. Former infantry officer, and allround bad ass

Nah sikter, I don't understand any Croatian. I could probably get somebody to translate for me though. Do either of the Croatian sites you recommended contain any information pertaining to recruitment (ideally to their policies regarding foreigners)?
I've heard of Cro-cop before; never seen "Ultimate Fighting Championship" though (don't got cable).

Talk to the embassy. You goota have a passport (citizenship). But if you have one and are ready to die for motherland there should be no problem.

    ....rakija, how old are you?
