    RIP TomG

    Thomas Graves AKA TomG

Deceased from complications of a long term illness (brain cancer) several days ago.

It is with great regreat that I post this. My good friend and former brother in arms has left us and his passing is a great tragedy. A man of his calibre will be remembered long after he is gone.

It is the soldier, not the priest, who protects freedom of religion; the soldier, not the journalist, who protects freedom of speech. History teaches that a society that does not value its warriors will be destroyed by a society that does

    Re: RIP TomG

This totally caught me by surprise...(I never knew he was sick, or that Yates was sick...Tom was just posting a couple days back!)
I shared quite a few board and pm/email conversations with Tom in the past. He was a very good guy and I enjoyed my talks with him and his contributions to the board. He was the real deal.

This comes so quickly after Michael G Yates aka "Yatez 44" passed away.

I just want to offer my condolences Glenn, as you have lost two close friends in such a short time.

Tom was a good guy and I wish I had gotten to meet him in person.

I still can't believe both Tom G and Michael Yates are gone...

What a man to keep his own illness so quiet and using the last of his energy to visit his good friend and to keep all here up to date.

He will be missed. My deepest sympathy to all his family and his close friends.

    May he rest in peace.

There's no justice in the world.....

My sincere condolences to you Glenn, to all his close friends and Family.

This has also taken me my surprise. I was communicating with him by PM only 1 month ago..... Another tragic day for the forum and a sad loss.

    Rest Easy Warrior.

    Re: RIP TomG

Tom lived and died like the legionnaire he was. We talked about Mike and how we could make him laugh to cheer him up and all the time he himself was dying. Did he cry and tell any one who would listen ? No he went to the bed side of our other bro to comfort him in his last few days never told us he was in trouble himself.
What can you say about a guy like that who puts others before himself ? I'll miss the PMs and the laughs we had. Bro take care tell Mike we miss him and the hell of a party you'll have when you two meet up,

    See you laters Tom

I am really sad that Tom and Mrs. A.G. could not visit us last year as planned.
It was Tom and Mike who facilitated the transaction to send us to Camerone 2007.
    Rest in peace my friend.
