Hi everyone. I was on the forum about 6 months ago just letting you all know that I got into the Legion and am now at 2e REI. If anyone has any questions about selection or training put it on the forum and I'll try to answer. Maybe not straight away though because we are on the terrain tomorrow. As I am planning to go dow there pretty soon myself what were your impressions of:
a) selection process how many did not make it and what were the reasons in your oppinion;
b) basic training,
c) the thing that puzzles me the most what happens once you get to your regiment, do you get retrained, or given instruction regarding the regiment's or company's special role (does the 2REI has similar brakedown to 2REP like urban warfare etc.)?
Take your time answereing I actually do not expect much just bits of fresh info here and there so that I can know better what to expect and how to stay?
At the moment I am studying French and reading field manuals

yeah mate first choice,best of both worlds.its infantry so its pretty intense but at the same time your in nimes so yor not restricted to where u can go and what u can do.you have montpellier just down the road and from what iv heard its a quality night out.just to let you all know as well, here at 2rei on a weekend u can leave the quartier in civil clothes which is so much is easier.very glad i came hereOriginally Posted by archetype
