    Wanted by country.

So i have a question, as a new member of this community. I am considering joining the Legion, or at least making a serious effort. I have read that if you are wanted by your home country, you will be handed over to the authorities. Is this for major offenses or minor, or both? I could understand being wanted for rape, drugs or murder... but what about minor little things? Such as maybe a warrant for not checking into probation? Or paying fines? Would they turn you over and send you all the way back for something like that? As small as that? Or are they more concerned with larger things? Thank you. Any response is appreciated.

The Anciens could answer you more accurately, but from what I read here, if you're not wanted by Interpol, come clean to the Legion about what you did, and convince them that all that shit is behind you, you should be fine in that regard.

They're willing to overlook things like auto theft, bad credit, but nothing related to violent incidents.

    Hey,

You should be fine with smaller things.
As was said, they only look for people wanted by interpol, and are probably more wary of crimes involving theft, burglary, and anything to do with drugs.

Best to just be honest, plus a few small problems at home are an incentive for you to stay in the Legion. However those problems won't go away, so if you ever go back home to the U.S. you will have to deal with them. I think Broncs and a couple other Anciens could give you more advice on that front.

    Good luck.

My older brother is in the same situation as you but maybe a little more serious. He was just realeased from jail and I was woundering about the whole situation with porbation and even if he is allowed to get a passport, I dont think he is. Any ways he said he is going over there to apply in febuary so if you are not in yet ill let you know how it goes.

He is going to need a passport. Minor crimes are overlooked

Yeah I know. He does not give A shit about what I say though so he will find out sooner or later. He told me he is going over there with a guy that was in "basic training." Had to leave for some reason and ffL said he could come back for section again later on. I don't really know the details. He pretty much said "A guy, Basic Training, FFl, Going back in February, Bye" He knew I was looking into the British army, and the Canadian army. I'm glad he told me about the FFL I wanted some thing with Strict Discipline, Still used force, Lays down the beats when needed. I'm ******* so excited to get myself to France and experience it all.

slow down there kid and dont expect anything otherwise you line yourself up for huge dissapointments as for beatings 1 of the cpl/ch told me that they really watch what they are doing now because there has been a couple of times that the home growns ( french boys looking for excitement ) have went running to mama and papa and all of a sudden there were human rights lawers turning up, keep a simple mantra expect nothing and you will never be dissapointed

Thanks for the kick in the face man. Thats what I needed. "simple mantra expect nothing and you will never be dissapointed " Makes prefect sense. Ill doubt I will be disapointed no matter what situation I'm put under. Ill keep a positive light and go with the flow. Every thing happens for a reason.
