    Introduction

    Hi all,

I've been checking out the forum and I'd like to thank everyone for the great information you provide. For now, I'm just another wannabe. In the past month or so I decided to join the legion. As I'm in my late twenties, I understand I have to do a lot of preparation before showing up in France. I already started getting back into shape and will be signing up for French classes in the coming weeks.

It will be a while before I actually go, because I'm working on getting a degree and I want to finish it before starting this great challenge. It will be a year and a half to two years to finish, and I will take advantage of this time to get into top physical shape and learning a decent amount of French. I was in the reserves for seven years and military life is something I'm very familiar with.

This forum will now be my online home, and I'll appreciate any and all feedback. On the same token, if I ask or say something stupid.... by all means, give me the full treatment reserved for wannabes

    Should be a good one...

Having spent 5 years in the USMC Infantry I can say, with certainty, that the exercise routines are almost identicle....Weight rooms are strictly voluntary. Endurance rules in the Infantry world wide.

    Damn Limey stereotypes

No offense ment Tom but having seen the "USMC" in Guyanne at Regina i have to admit that they were generally a lot more MUSCLE mass orientated which did not help them at all!!!
