    Rope workout question

There aren't any ropes to climb at any gym or place near where I live, so I was wondering what specific muscles that the rope climb works out?

Drape a towel over a pull-up bar, grab each end, and do pull-ups. Three towel pull-ups is equivalent to one meter.

    Here are some variations:

    Re: rope workout question

Buy a short rope for indoor climbing walls and attach it to a pull-up bar. It'll be about 2 meters high but you can climb this short distance up and down 2 or 3 or more times sans cesse. If you can already climb with only your hands you start from a sit-up position with your legs at 90 degrees to your body and keep this posture while climbing. Just be careful with rope climbing if you are a beginner and avoid elbow injuries from overuse.

Aghhhh…. There aren’t any ropes in the gyms in your area!!!! Ohhhh… that is a real problem… What should you do????
When it is 5 in the morning, raining, and you are feeling sorry for yourself…. and the enemy is coming. What should you dooooo??? What muscles should you train??? Ohhhh… my triceps are not very well today…
For f**k’ s sake man… make a plan and do it. You should get yourself a rope and run to the woods (the further the better for your running skills) and find a tree… Install the rope… Climb it 5 times and run home every day for 3 months and your problem should be solved.
For those who think that the Legion training is in the gym!!!! Think again… and forget the gym. Forget what kind of muscles you should train. The muscles that should be trained is the one on the top floor and it should have an on/off button.

    X10...
One of the biggest delaying tactics used by wannabees or internet dreamers is the "I am training for the Legion but plan on going in 1 yr/2 yrs/3yrs, after Law School blah blah blah..............all you have to do is read the posts from prior folks....while those that want to do it just get their butt on a plane/train, whatever, and find out first hand after getting basic knowledge from various sources. Most of those on this board that are former just did some basic reading or said fuk it and went......all you need to do is be in "basic" good health...the cadre with take care of the rest.
