Will it Work or Will it Not

IT DOES... This Forum is not screwed, afterall.

Has anyone noticed a problem with the Dates?

Luke is trying to post and PM people but it doesn't work for him.

Did Luke sign in? I found that sometimes my PC does not keep me signed in and occasionally I have to do it manually. If he can not resolve the problem, let him sent an e mail to the Boss. He could sent me a pm to see if it works (i keep my in-box clear to receive mail).

Same problem here Joe. It looks like the system is having some sort of a timeout feature that "logs you off" if you stay idle for too long.

My Date problem has corrected itself, posts are now Displaying in a Logical Time order. I'm not sure if Luc can post yet, he tried a few times; even tried logging in and out and all sorts of crap - still no go.

It keept on saying that he had to wait 60 seconds before he could post again, so I imagine this is something to do with the Cookies? I would guess that because of the Date/Time problem it might of given "False" cookies that were going off incorrect times. Anyway, in a non-technical-all-can-understand-term ... it was ****ed

His configuration is the same as before so I don't see need to perplex him with changing the Security Settings.

Did anyone else notice the Date/Time thing though? it seems to have magically corrected itself.

Nah, very unlikely, Boss annouced that the Forum would be moving then disabled everyone from making a new post or thread.

If he has moved Servers, then I would guess that the new server is in another time zone? Usually these Forums will base their times off the server time and then you can manually configure the GMT offset in the Options (under Control Panel).

I tried changing that, but still no go (date still naff'd) so I guess that there was some misconfiguration on the Server end and now its been fixed. Maybe Boss can elaborate on this, I've noticed that a lot of people are screaming "Hacker, Hacker" but it just isn't so.

It appears that the Server is now in Dallas Texas, I'm not sure where it was before? France maybe?

    Hackers:

Well since this Site is hosted on a Professional Web Hosting Server ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ]) there is no way anyone can hack into it, the security would be of a high quality (of course there are those who could, but why would they bother when there are Pentagon and MI6 Computers to be broken into). The only way is if they found a Security Hole in the Forum or figured out/guessed the Administrators password (which can be easily done if it is something stupid like "poodles" or "pinkpanther").
