Hey Steve. The nutrition part you can check up on the thread "food for your muscles" and drink allot of water which helps to burn fat and cleans your body. To follow a special diet is never good in the end. Ie no carbs or no fat. People get sick because of that, because they lack in important nutrients.. You jsut have to skip the crap food and sugar. One of the best ways to burn fat around the stomach area is to use this tool. You role it back and forth while youre on your knees. 5 min a day and youll se results.

Running long distance and walking in fast pase long distance is grat to burn fat. To have some variety bike really long distances like 100 km. Burns fat as hell!

Also doing some exercise before breakfast gives your metabolism a kick in the backside.

A very effective tool indeed! The best is to start the day with a cardio workout, before breakfast, followed by a weight lifiting or other strength training routine later in the day - if the goal is to burn fat.

FACT; you can not target fat burning to a specific area - the fat is burned from where the body easiest can take it - therefore the fitness tool in question will do nothing but strengthen your abdominal and back muscles while slightly increasing the metabolism during and after the workout, but as a fat burner - it's not very effective.
A common myth is that training the abs only will give a six pack but that's wrong, unless backing it up with some cardio work.
Fat is burned while performing low to medium intensity training for a prolonged period of time, and that's what your goal should be - low to medium intensity workout such as running or cycling or other.

Don't eat that bag of potato chips on "movie night" and make sure that you move a lot, then you'll see fast results, and when you work out your abs - make sure that you do some back exercises as well (back extensions etc.) or you'll be walking like a gorilla after a few months.

I have started jogging and doing some basic training with a couple of free weights in preparation for the legion should.

What i want to know is what methods are there to build stamina and endurance without feeling dizzy, weak and F***ed up after an excercise session and what foods should i avoid.

By the way whats the food like in the legion as i heard its shyte, and are legionnairs allowed to bring their own food/snacks, supplements and vitamins.

by the way why does the legion allow alcohol consumption when they keep yapping on about how legionnairs must be in "Top physical condition at all times". Surly allowing booze in the camps runs counter to this code of self respect.

Are they doing this for a reason or are the French just very lax about booz.
