Hey everyone! I'm back after 11 days in the Legion. I'll give you some insight into the Legion recruitment process and what happened to me there as soon as possible. Stay posted.

So lay it on us..tell us the whole story.
It is the soldier, not the priest, who protects freedom of religion; the soldier, not the journalist, who protects freedom of speech. History teaches that a society that does not value its warriors will be destroyed by a society that does

Join and back then?Or just join in?
As I know you can`t contact with anybody when you are in the castle.
My friend went to join the FFL about 3 or 4 mons ago,and the first time he called me is the Camerone Day.And now he`s in the castle.
    Really a lucky bastard.

    Post here´s the story

I arrived at the gates of Paris on a Monday thinking i would be shipped out to Aubagne on Tuesday. Well, the group that came a few days indeed shipped out out on Tuesday but i wasn't on that list so i thought ok Tuesday would be Thursday would be the next day but my name wasn't on that list either. I spent 8 long days in Paris cleaning, sleeping, eating, putting together tents for the celebrations trying to understand the language. Sorry guys I already wrote one long page but it didn't get posted for some reason so I'm going to sit down at home and write down all my experience and I'll post it this weekend that way you'll have a better idea of what i passed through and you can prepare yourself for that and when you get off your asses and go. I'll give you as much details as i can.
I spent 8 days in Paris and around 4 days in Aubagne in which I choose to go home by asking the doctor to fail me after a long conversation with him. I didn't want to raise my hand in formation when they say mama papa playstation bitches drugs and rock and roll and I knew I couldn't fail the run test because of my competitive nature so that was the only way out for me.
I tell you why i left and I am sad to say i received an inapte definitif that's why I'm feeling down on myself when i should have thought about my decision better and kept this door open for me. I will write a letter to the General and pray i get a good answer (hope for the best but expect the worst). Thanks to all Anciens for you help on this journey that i took and believe me i have a million times more respect for you now then i have ever had. Legionnaires are in a class of their own. Talk to you guys this weekend and for anyone leaving this week, try and join straight at Aubagne and listen and keep out of trouble and work hard and excell at every test they put in front of you and you be fine. Good luck!

Makes sense that they don't really want you back, if you choose to leave, no? Looking forward to read your story and why you chose to leave, good to have someone else writing about his experience!
No inspiration for a nickname, after reading some topics this one might be the safest

Faking an injury would have been better no? I can understand why they gave you inapte definitive, you probably too... You tried and for some reason you wanted to leave in selection (your good right, but it backfired a little ), that's more than many on the board here will ever do!
Did you polish that big wooden staircase too in Paris?

It makes no sense to me :(((

...so you joined for leaving it and now you hope that they'll let you join back again? Ha ha, how foolish. - Guys, please, forget about all bullshits and myths about the Legion published on the web and other sources. It's not a kindergarten, but a professional military organization. They aren't waiting for you with a bouquet of red roses and a bottle of wine. Hard work and bad treating, that's what to expect there.

Saint, whatever your reason for discharging yourself, at the very least you had a crack at it. You knew that it wasn't right for you and you acted on it. Better that than wasting the time of the FFL and your own. I hope that you can take something form the experience and learn from it.

Sorry you felt that way, but if there is anything that makes you think twice, then don't.... from reading and studying posts on this great forum... being mentally 100% ready is the most important.... cause once you sign that contract, you become a military tool..... they are ur masters....

I respect for Saint. He got off his ass and went there, found out it was not for him and didn't waste anyone's time.
