I'm 36 and plan on joining FFL. I consider myself to be in pretty good physical shape, I've done 12yrs of karate and 7 yrs of Pankration (Muay Thai Kickboxing and Submission Wrestling) and have competed in several tournaments. My only problem is I take medication to control my epilepsy which is one reason I can't get into Canadian Forces. However I am curious does this mean I also wouldn't be able to get into the French Foreign Legion?
Being half French on mother's side, I have a French citizenship as well as a Canadian citizenship so by law can live anywhere in France, so I don't need FFL for that, I want to join because I need a change in my life and want to do something that is more meaningful and more challenging.
Most of my relatives in France have been in French army at one time or another, when France still required all guys at age 18 to join. Could this help me get into FFL despite my epilepsy?
