Great field food - check it!

This might be almost commercializing, but the product is good enough so I'll bend.
I don't know what you tend to take with you on in pockets when you're in the field, but just look at these:

It's shaped like a bar of pastry, contains 500 kcal and 30g protein. And it's real food, with that I mean they've got meat and stuff baked in the thing.
I just let you in on this in case it would be of any help to you.

PS. what do you take in your pockets when in field?

A pack of smokes, a lighter, a phone and depending on the company (if it's female), condoms. The only time I have food in my pocket's is when I walk my dog.

Problem with biltong is that it's so expensive vis-à-vis the calories it gives... If you're having a camp and energy consumption is between 3500kcal-4000kcal so you'd need to have a shitload of biltong in your pockets... for a single day.

Then there are gorse, dandelion, primulas, sorrel, pignut, hazle, lime, beech mast and leaf, all the berries etc. etc. etc. not to mention what you can garner from the shore. You shouldn't die. The Japanese conquered the whole of South East Asia on bicycles eating how much what?

It's true, I usually "pack" very light. Not mention that the times I was camping, there were always some store's near by (few km) and the locals were mostly nice and shared what they got, sometimes even the wife, older daughter but mostly the mother in-law.
