Décès d’un légionnaire du 2ème REG en montagne

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

He was a cook in the kitchen, couldn't understand a word of French but didn't stop him giving 100% in everything he attempted (we did the Brevet d'Alpiniste Militaire together - always smiling and laughing). No-one has any idea what he was doing trying to scale Mont Blanc on his own, but still a tragic loss and yet ANOTHER death in the 2REG family.

    Repose en paix.......

Exposure is deadly, you don't even know when you are going down from it.

Re: Décès d’un légionnaire du 2ème REG en montagne

He probably had nothing to do during permission and the mountain spoke to him during his stage. He came 'unscrewed'? An equipment malfunction? If not, he more than likely would have made it.
    Adieu, légionnaire. Aux morts!

    RIP Legionnaire.
