    Re: help with FITNESS

Ahh, Stoeng, sir, it's never too late to get used to it. I personally thank my teenage years using my left to wank and my right to use the mouse for giving me a good balance of strength in both my arms. I even think my left is a bit stronger than my right, I always lean on it when doing push ups. Oh well.

LEG STRENGTH!!! LEG STRENGTH!!! LEG STRENGTH!!!

Running/ walking/ standing/ rucking all day puts a lot of stress on your lower extremities. The stronger you muscles are the better they will be at absorbing the impact. If your leg muscles are weak all the stress will go to your joints and bones (which causes arthritis and stress fractures), which unfortunately will sometimes not heal properly. Your muscles, however will absorb the stress, heal and be stronger. Unfortunately, leg strength is often not included in a lot of military PT programs.

I usually run 5-6 days a week and since I started heavily training legs, they don't really even feel tired after an hour long run.

What type of exercises do you do for your legs?

wanking aside if your head aint straght you wont get in
i never run in my puff before the legion never did a pull up was the lest fit in my selection
but i got in why when there was younger and fitter guys got the boot ?
i had the right head on you need to need the legion and have to show your 100% comitted to doing your contract and never give in on any shite they throw at you.

fittness will come with instruction but getting theres a whole new ball game wining and action the knowit all will be a short trip out the gate a willingness to help your fellow ev,s and take the shite with them as well as the good.

if you cant keep your gob shut or your opinions to your self dont go i am sick of wanna be,s going to the instruction and thinking its the legion its not its the way into the legion.

our day is done it,s up to you what makes the legion work its your day
yae though i walk in the shadow of the valley of death i will fear no evil for am the hardest bast..d in the valley

    Re: help with FITNESS

What pisses me off so much is that a very senior rank on this board, took the time and trouble to describe a fitness plan that in itself is effective and simple. Its free the gym membership is free and doesnt cost a euro. Ive been on it and lost two stone 28lbs abd feel a lot better for it as well.
As Flash said our day is done but we didnt have the benifit of the internet you do but one thing remains the same who have to get off your fat lazy arses go to France and do it all yourself it really that simple. Its a solo effort trying to enlist its all about oneself nothing more nothing less. I suppose I was lucky because after I had left the British Army I kept me fitness levels up and was fitter than some of the Evs that were in selection. But I still had to do it all meself nobody there to hold my hand.
