Xmas Message

Good Morning Gentlemen...fair warning-this is a Christian message; I don’t cram my beliefs down no one’s throat and appreciate a straight-shooter so I don’t do that. But hey; it’s Christmas!!! This morning while I was praying for a job (the Legion), I got to convincing Jesus that if He gives me a job somehow it would benefit Him. I mean it does say in the bible that we are saved and blessed for His names sake, right? so I went with that I got sidetracked as I so often do when I pray and I thought about this whole Xmas story...Jesus: God in the flesh, comes to Earth to save people...but He comes in a manger. A place where there where pigs?, jackasses, dirt, grit, grime, shit...And then it hit me!-But They Let Him In. You and I are mangers; for whatever reasons our lives, whether it be because of our own doing or just the lot we were dealt, in our lives we tend to be full of shit, some of us are pigs, dirty, jackasses, gritty and grimy to the core (I’m all of the above, normally not all at the same time . Yet if we let Him in we will be remembered forever. Man wants immortality; we hope our names go down in history as warriors, heroes, and men that did something with their lives; who fought for a cause, even if it was ‘cause they had nothing else. Still if we remain “mangers” who let Him in we will be remembered by the Eternal One, for Eternity. It wasn’t the fancy Inn, the one that turned Mary and Joseph away, the 5 star hotels in New York, London, or Dubai...it was a manger that will be part of His story and His life forever. So this Xmas don’t worry that you are a manger, just let Him in!
