Please do not take this the wrong way. It's a nice thought that you will send half of your pay to your family, however you will soon discover that it's hard enough for you to live on a legionnaires pay, and that it will be a long time before you go up the ranks and earn a decent wage, if sending money to your family is that much of a problem you should really look for a decent job, if you already have one then keep it.
Since the DUI is that old, it won't matter a whole lot. Depending on the type of assault, not a lot either. Still be prepared for rejection as only about 10% get accepted.
Once you are in your regiment, you can do whatever you want with your money. However, if they have the slightest idea that you are "tied" to your family, you won't have much of a chance to be accepted.
I surmise that they are looking for team players and those who are least likely to desert, but want to have a career in the Legion Don't make up stories or volonteer information they did not ask for. Just answer their questions.
You won't get any other than a standard response. Your best bet is to check all posts related to what you need to find out or make a thread with your question.
Usually they reject anyone who had a serious surgery. In your case, you could give it try, you could get lucky if the scar is not too visible.
What is Brian surgery? - you sure it's fixed - lol fcuk I'm an asrehole
Thanks Hitsuji!

Well as far as I know during 4 months basic you are not allowed to call or anything for that matter, but legionnaires there might give you their phone to call home if you ask them and explain. Also I'm not sure for the basics but you could ask right away for them to transfer half of your money to someone else. But the best Idea would probably be to get enough money for 4 months for your family (I assume its for family) and then go. Once you are there none of it should be problem, besides you have to tell them if you have kids if you lie and they find out they are going to kick you out like a football.

I love that song, they always play it on Anzac day here in Canada.

Hey there bud, if you don't mind me asking, I'm headed to fort De Nogent in July.is there any advise you can give me about you're being there? Good or bad? As for psycotechnical tests, not sure you can study as much other than just familiarizing yourself with what they are? "Google" anyways, good luck with selection man,why do you have to wait 3 months too by the way?
