For all newbies to the forum:

Step 1: Read, read, read.
Step 2: Your first post; write an introduction. An introduction describes yourself and does not ask questions.
Step 3: Use the search function to chase down particular questions you may have but have not stumbled upon by following step 1.
Step 4: Read, read, read.
Step 5: Pat yourself on the back for not being "une huitre" and gently instruct the newcomers after you on how to not be one as well.

A followup on introducing yourself; in french society is considered very rude to start a conversation without first acknowledging the other's presence. It is also good form to "present" yourself if you expect to get help from a stranger. Perhaps half of Paris is truly rude just because they enjoy being so, but most of France is rude to you merely because you are rude to them first by not engaging in what is considered the basics of good manners by French culture.

From what I have READ using the search function is if you can read and do basic mathematics and your not totally fcuking retarded you should be OK!! Oh and libertypo do you have a penis cos you really bitch like a girl....!! :P :)
