Lasik Eye Surgery

I want to join the Legion very badly. However, my eyes are not great. I spoke with a doctor recently about Lasik and found it to be very affordable. As far as I know you have to possess great eyesight to enlist, but would it be an issue if I hade it done through surgery. Or, should I not even mention it to the recruiter unless asked about it?

Im getting lasik too, where do you live and how much does it cost there? i would get it by $1000 each eye, AND! I would have to pay for the plane tickets for about $700 an around trip. I dont think you should tell anything unless the Gestapo finds out things themselves.:cool:

i found lasik WAAAYY cheaper than that. i dont have the contact info anymore because my ex threw everything away and now i have to locate them again myself. but i did the initial screening in Pensacola, FL and the procedure is performed in Atlanta, GA so that should narrow your search a little. also, it is a very reputable company and they give you a price quote at your initial exam. mine was only about $300 an eye and they said the procedure is only about 15 min long. look around before paying for anything.

well excuse me if i'm not a computer expert. another guy on here who is an ex-legionnaire has been very helpful and even spoken with me over the phone to assist me. why are you so rude? however, i meant no disrespect to anyone. i just dont know how to change my status cause i dont use computers very often.

I live in Mongolia so i dont have any chances to get lasik in my country. I might have to go to singapore where it is reliable but not far away.

Yes, since it takes effort to become a Legionnaire. And as mentioned before, it does show a lack of respect, to say the least, to claim to be one when your not, especially when your to lazy to use the search function. Also as I can imagine it's a small world, so it would be quiet easy to vet a person as a Legionnaire.

On topic, I wouldnt recommend lying about being lased. I had mine eyes done in late 2005 and there was still a little scar visible last october, so unless you want to make up a story about how you got a scar on your eye, tell the truth.

Surgery cost a 3000 euro's, but since I only have one pair of eyes, I decided to pay a little more and went with a good surgeon.
