On the 20th December 04, I scribed a post on a spate of bullying within
the Brit.Armed Forces. Yesterday the Sunday papers had an article titled 'Marine bullying charges dropped.'
Assault allegations against six RM instructors have been dropped just days before they were due to appear at a court martial. A Captain and five senior NCOs were accused of ill treatment, ordering recruits out of bed in the middle of the night swearing intimidating them and pushing them too hard during the rugged physical tests.
The Royal Navy's court martial authority ruled that the men had no case to answer after new information came to light. The men are now back on normal duties. -
As someone who once worked with an Army Training Regiment I hope the recruits were kicked out.
