Who's back?
Well, some of you folks might recall Troopie from the old cervens.net forum, yes? Anyway, having moved from ultra-crowded, ultra-expensive Tokyo to Thailand (which is neither), I took some time off to relocate & acclimatise.
That's done & so now I'm back!
Intro:
For those who don't remember me, I was raised in the old Rhodesia, served in the 5e RMP (now sadly no more) & later the 2e REP back in the 1970s. Returning home, I served in the Rhodesian Light Infantry till an argument with a landmine on the Mozambique border (guess who won!) ended my military days.

I now do things like teaching at a local college, helping my Japanese wife with her property company, & running the International Veterans Association (veterans.tk).

That's enough about me. I shall pop over to the forum when time allows so if anyone has any questions about Thailand, Japan, the RLI or the old 5e RMP, I'll do my best to help out. OK? Now it's time for a Chang (the local substitute for vitamin K) so I’m off . . .

Hi Troopie. I remember you from the old board. Didn't know however the details of your story.
Welcome back to the Cervens board. It's a bit like cigarette... Once you've tried it, you can't help coming back to it (I know what I'm talking about... I quit 5 years ago and have taken it up again :().

Domo arigatto for the message, mon ami. However, I might be able to respond better in good old Eigo -- my Japanese wife wasn't able to work out everything in your message, but Nihongo doesn't addapt well to Romaji!:D
