Hi All,
I live in LA and I am trying to help someone in Bulgaria find some information about his brother, whom he lost contact with long time ago. I have no clue how to approach this or where to start. I hope that some of you might be able to help me. Just in case...
The name of the person that I am trying to locate is Milcho Nikolov Popov. He was born 1927 in a city called Lom in Bulgaria. He went to study in Prague 1946. The summer of 1947 he came back to Bulgaria. For some reason he was accused in spying. This was the time when a lot of people just disappeared and everybody could be accused in anything for completely different reason. He was followed in Prague and during the winter of 1948 he went to France and joined the Legion in the group led by the Bulgarian G.M. Dimitrov. He fought at different places during the years. The last news from him came around 1958 from the city of Orhan in Algeria, where he was transferred to a civil service.
This is all that we know. I will appreciate any lead.
