Dear members and site host i have just been medically discharged from the British Army i served 10 yrs with 2 Para and 7 years in the SAS in Hereford. I got shot on recent operations in Afghanistan and have lost the use of my right arm. I have been to hell and back many times in my career but this has done me in a bit. 8 yrs ago i was leaving the paras to join the Legion but then i went on selection which was kind of a surprise. I am fascinated with the Legion's history. I have killed many people in my time in war situations and t gets to you when you're a bit old. Is there anybody on this site that suffers from those they have shed blood on? Thank you and i hope i am welcome to your site.

I have been to hell and back many times in my career...I don't think that any British soldier has been "in hell and back" since 1945. And I definitely would not call Afghanistan "a hell".
Is there anybody on this site that suffers from those they have shed blood on?Most of those who have killed don't talk about that. Especially not in their first message on a chat forum.

I apologise for a bit rude tone, but I am always a bit alergic to such messages and also careful with people who claim to have been in hell and returned back and killing "many people", because usually it turns up they are ->

As said above by others, I'm sorry to say your story sounds a bit "fishy". I think you'll need to provide the board with some sort of "credentials" if you want to be fully accepted.

Actually if my counting is right, this is the second time you have agreed with me in the last ten days or so. This is highly suspicious... :D Have you again been smuggling your yearly supply of "palinka" through the Iranian Customs Office? If that is to be the case, then I wish you Egé szé gé re. :D

If you are referring to the rumour that 21 & 23 are to be disbanded, it is unlikely. Was talking to a green slime STAB who said the Special Air Service receive funding as a whole, 21, 23 included. 22 Then take the lion's share of the funds, leaving the reserves the scraps. End result? 22 get all the Gucci kit, 21 are left eating tins of bacon burger that went out of date last century.:(
