Hey guys just wanna say a big Semper Fidelis to all you vets , Legionnaires and All other branches. I served in the USMC from 1992-1996 (Infantry:Forward Observer for Mortars.) The Legion is quite interesting to me. Sounds like a fine organization!

Scout platoon is mainly comprised of 0351's ,0331, 0311, with at 0203 or 1802 in charge, I was sent there mainly becuase I volunteer and to kee my Intel officer from going there. As a 0231 you attend the basic MAGTF INTEL COURSE and then you are off to the FMF, once in the fleet you will attend SERE school, I went in Cornando, North Island and played down in Warner springs. No shit I lost 25lbs in 1 week, not health nut god damn true.

Sout platoon Does not have snipers, if needed we get them attached, While at tanks we wrote a SOP to incorp. snipers into the platoon, We had funds set aside to go to sniper school and aquire Barrett's, but HQMC said no we were not needed, what pissed me off the most I was 1 week out from school and had just finished Scout Sniper INDOC

STA is Surveillance and Target Aquisition Platoon (or at least is was back in the late 60's, 70,s
(hate to be a nit picker)
