I just wanted to introduce myself in a proper fashion and say hello to all those out there. I spent two years in the 1/509 Parachute Infantry Regiment, after that I became a police officer in S. Florida for ten years. I spent a total of eight years on the SWAT team and the last year of my duty I spent as a sniper. Due to the lack of discipline and motivation in police work, I retired early. I am considering the FFL because the US Army says that I am to old to be part of any of their elite units.

Thanks for the site and I will do my best to read prior postings before asking dumb ass questions.

I believe u gotta be no older then 40 years old. So Mr Police man, if u are not hitting 40 u should be good.

I am 33, not to old for the US military. They say that I am to old for SF or Rangers. Yes I was in the US Airborne.

As a former cop I don't know how well you'd do in the Legion. It has been my experience that the Legion has an adversarial relationship avec les flics. The Legion had more of an outlaw attitude. Inquire and acquire current information in that vein. So you took the separation package offered by the State, huh? Good luck in you new endeavors.

Thanks Sammy, no offer was given to me by the state because I was a city cop.
