Just joined today after about a couple weeks reading your posts. Thankyou for all the info you have posted here.
I have always wanted to join a military force. Schooling and two ex wives are very distracting to the main objective. These years go by so fast.
After divorce number one joined up with the navy and put in the DEP. Then a week before boot my recruiter called me up and said i had a conviction that the government will not accept. I guess a computer crime is a real turn off for them. Until then i was really excited because i was on the list for SWCC, which is a great team.
Remarried and divorced again and started a up a local moving company which pays me very well but, again i am determined to get into a military outfit. Two weeks ago i seen a show about the legion and found your forum. Thankyou, in reference to your postings i might have a chance to fulfill this goal.
Looked on travelocity and one-way tickets from southwest US is between 1200 and 2500 dollars. Long flight too.
A guy named stew smith has a great training prep for special forces type recruits. It's a great workout and recommend it for anyone entering in the ffl, even if the goal is not combat related, it might as well be good enough for the fitness part of the selection process.
Well anyway hoping to be in france between october and january, depending on how good i get with the french lessons.
i will be around here quite often, see you guys later.
