Dude, you're seriously in need of a lobotomy in your compulsive-obsessive behaviour with deserter accounts !!!!......

Quick, quick, can anyone send me a me an e-medical kit to perform this much-needed operation ||||

As far as I know it has not been proved he was a deserter. But I know that doesn't matter to you when you are going on, and on, and on, and on, and on about deserters. So who is compulsive-obsessive here? :p

Deserters are part of the Legion.

Learn to live with it, instead of being such a miserable, complaining sod. :)

Of course desertion is part of Legion life, I should know it: some former colleagues deserted over worthwhile women (including marriage and honeymoon) or on family bereavement issues then returned for a stint in jail and all was forgiven after necessary attonement...but your comments shows how little you've understood my (and possible others') thoughts on deserters:

I've NOTHING against them for it's an individual choice: BUT TWO DETAILS: Firstly, I wouldn't like to live with its stygma by not returning after deserting; secondly, I wouldn't MOST DEFINITELY put any single crumb or droplet of food on a deserter's table by buying his book on his act of desertion - and lack of word in keeping a signed contract......some self-confessed deserters have my respect: I understand and respect their choice - not to write endless books to expiate their desertion....

..ON THE OTHER HAND, YOU CERTAINLY seem interested in STARTING threads on deserters and giving them free-rein on this board with self-publicising books....only useful as a second-hand book and last resort in toilet paper - ....how about a coherent line of thought from YOU on any topic of your choice without resorting to quoting entire articles and book covers for others to read without your question: "Has anyone read this book ? Is it any good ?"

If readers are wanting to read about reasons for desertion, consult the first two posts by Petar, a board member, through the profile facility of the top horizontal bar....and spare yerselves a few bob/sheckels/centîmes/cents/pesos/duros/yen/patakas....

You don't have to repeat yourself, we all know by now you have a sickly aversion towards deserters and their books.

Proved nothing.

If you don't like the threads on the forum, you don't have to be here.

.....Why don't you join the French Foreign Legion and see it for real rather than be speculative of it with others' tales ?.....

I think you know more about Jean than me. You were the one who brought up his sexuality, ;), but then refering to Stoeng's Monclar post, he might have been in good company.

Affirmation: Eagle eye is as straight as an arrow and owns up to frequenting FFL and London brothels in the past...

Question to Peter Lyderick: Are you a homosexual: active/passive even latent stalking a FFL board ? YES or NO...if neither it's the same as a YES
