So you wanna be a Legion Para? When does the preparation start? Now! At Aubagne you do not simply need to pass, you need to excel, on the Cooper test people should be behind you, if they are in front of you plan A is failing. Start running and start now, forty minutes min, at least four times a week! At Aubagne you should come across as someone who is a team player yet can exceed alone, sound weird? I agree, the REP will not motivate you, they expect you to arrive motivated, they expect you to be able to work alone or as a part of a team in a motivated and determined manner. In Aubagne I would advise you to act like a soldier and not a wannabe.

In Castel you need to be at the top of your class!!! How do you get there? I finished first in training even though I had ten days in "le trou" for smacking a German with an entrenching tool and taking off a fair portion of his cheek, they do not expect you to be a pacifist!!! Why did I stroke him with my shovel? Because I carried his bergen for 10 clics and he never said thanks. On the day I did him I had carried it for about the fifth or sixth time, his FAMAS had more of my finger prints on it than his. He was a slacker and to win points with the staff I followed him around like a shadow. I tried to motivate him but he refused to be motivated, after a few clics his back would buckle and his kit was distributed to those who could carry it. Once is ok, twice even, three times is pushing it, five times means he needs some "attitude adjustment". ******* amazing what a kiss with a shovel can do for a guy... he became Mr Motivated and always shit his pants when digging in next to me (I know I know, not even my mom loves me coz I is one evil shite aye!)

I do not recomend that you guys go around slicing up Germans with your shovels, I do say that if you wanna go REP you better get used to helping slackers (glass back bastardos). Take your field craft training seriously, learn fast and help the thicker twats in your section. Be better dressed than everyone, that means stay up late, iron that shirt one more time. Excel in everything, including being at the front of the queue when "attitude adjustment" is being metted out. Yes it's hard to watch but for some guys it's the only way, join in, do not shy away from it, it's part of life in the Legion.

If you are one day on the receiving end take it like a man and don't bitch, it does not last long and its better for you than vitamin C, all the Legion want is to send you back to mommys titty a man!

If you wanna make it to the REP you have to work hard, very hard, you have to be a fit bastard, a clever soldier, immaculate on parade and not afraid to scuff his knuckles once in a while.

So..... who's is going to the REP?

Wouldn't the NCOs realise that this German just couldn't do the work? Or did he improve with that shovel hit? :D

Oh yeah by the way REP all the way !You will get kicked out for fighting while waiting to pass all the tests for acceptance in the recruiting stations, not once you are in your regiment.
