If my memory is correct, this wall was built by an American of French descent, former officer in the US Marine Corps.

There is a very strong relationship in between the Marine Corps, and France. Belleau Wood, Soissons,St-Mihiel, Champagne, and the Meuse-Argonne. The 4th Brigade was decorated 6 times by the French during the campaigns. The entrance coming into to Parris Island, (besides the large "where it all begins") is called the Boulevard de France. In 1562 a French leader Huguenots, under Jean Ribaut landed on Parris Island, established a small out post. On the island before the Spanish got envolved. I rode a train to a station somewhere, picked up by a bus, somewhere else. The drill instructor (smokey bear on his head) came onboard. Told everyone to put there heads, down. I had no idea, how we got there let alone to how we could leave. Spent the next couple of days, with out sleep. (under instruction doing things). Dead ass tired.. You have the feeling, of OH-My God, what in the hell did i do wrong to desreve this. Every little thing you do, is for the greater purpose, it all has a meaning.
Ok well thats enough, im rambling on.

Mle 187-828They were probably boots, that had a butter bar for a lieutenant (fresh out of college), that didn't know any better or the reserve-ist, weekend warriors trying to get there picture on the T.V so mom, Mary Jane, can see their fat nasty ass. I'm just trying to make sense out of their ignorance.
Don't hold it against all of us. :)

Don't worry mate, i dont hold it against all the Marines, just dumb ones! I never thought i would see such a horrible display of stupidity by the Corps, it saddened me. But i don't blame all Marines. Hell, i served as a 8151 in the Corps till a little mistake happened so i had to go to the Army, long story. Anyway i was a Hollywood marine for 2 years, served on the Nimitz.

The Eurocorps-Foreign Legion concept suggests a counterpart regiment drawn from the USCMC/Ranger or 10th Mountain on rotating basis. This suggested provision is a cornerstone of the transatlantic link in the concept. A 'Hollywood USMC' ?: that's the first time I heard of one ? How were you accepted in terms of responsibility and rank once you enlisted in the USMC ? Had you served in it before ? Were you full US citizen when you joined the USMC after your stint in the Legion ? Or simply a US Green card holder ?

Well first off im an American, born in Northern California, but raised in the northwest. I joined the Corps after high school, served two years as an 8151--which is a Guard. I was then given the chance to transfer to the US Army which i did for two years. After that i joined the Legion. After the Legion i came back and went to college and joined ROTC and received my commision in the Army. In Dec. '05 i can leave the Army and go back to the Legion.

HollyWood= A Marine trained in Cali. Marines are not policy makers, our political stance, is none existent. We stay, out of the publics eye, and they stay away from us. The ideal of reservists is due to their mental-state, the Marine has been buried and the civilan side is showing its ass.
