Just watched this film, sweet lord is it absolute nonsense!!!

Whoever edited it must have been an epileptic ADHD suffered, judging by the nauseating rapidity with which they cut from one shot to the other in the same scene.

There's a lot of "tube à gauche/droit/arrière", tactics we DO learn in training but which were a little forced in to the film's scenarios (ie. impractically so, at times).

Rather regrettably too (given, I'm guessing, the involvement of advisors from l'Armée de Terre) is the fact that a credible consumption of ammo only appears in the final third of the film, when the guys actually start announcing "chargeur" as opposed to the opening hour when magazines happily spat out hundreds of rounds without the need to reload à la John Rambo!

Not EVEN worth a few beers with a few mates as an action romp.

Very, very poor!

Why did you put the movie here if the movie is bad? Who wants to look a bad movie?

edit: At least trailer looks good. :)

First, you should check your grammar, second, it's a good thing he did, this way we'll know what to expect from it.

Saved me a headache in explaining that one, Tonyus. Good work!

A French journalist in Afghanistan is kidnapped by the Taliban.
The story is all wrong. Why would anyone want to rescue a kidnapped journalists? They (journalists) are always telling us how great the Taliban, North Koreans, Cubans and Chicoms are?!?!

Films are an entertainment and you should always treat them as such. If they would show every reload and every realistic detail from a combat the film would last for hours.

If you fancy a good film check the "The Beast of War" ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) from 1988 about a Soviet tank crew in Afghanistan. I myself watched it a couple of months ago on a thing called YouTube.

And just so that you know - We love John Rambo! :)

The beginning of the film wasnt that bad.... in my opinion it was good until they got their hands on the hostage. Then it just went downhill... ohh and it did go really really bad. Then again I did get some good laughs, not because the film was supposed to be funny but because it was so bad.

Ohh and since when has Caylus been in Kosovo? You can even see the pyramid some poor legionnaires have built there!

Sounds like the latest James Bond movie. Quantum Of Solace or what it was called. I walked out of the theatre halfway into the movie.. I dont think the editors have any illnesses, it seems more like they are trying to induce an attack in epileptics.

My apologies Legion-Eire but I cannot read everything, my time is limited and I only get to the net once a month. I am sure French SF is really good Repace, but I just had my first experience with French SF. Our conditions were really tough, no air con, almost no food, the water ran out. To cut a long story short, the French SF have left stating that they are 'human not animal', they grabbed their passports and left with their tale between their legs. I was really disappointed as the one guy was a third dan in Kyokushin, my Karate style and I enjoyed the training. However there are bad apples everywhere. Now the air con works, the food is good and the water is plenty. Sometimes you just need to stick it out.

Legion-Eire, you think too much. The real film for a movie night in the chambre with a few beers and the groupe has to have lots of shooting and explosions, lots of corny one liners, plenty of tits and arse and bags of kit and weaponary to make your head spin. We had plenty of those in the 80's.

Some of the talibans had romanian ak's :)
The movie:

What was the part with the guy doing "beatbox" before he detonated the explosives?
What a stupid f***ing cliche...
